Clay Cafe for the Bereaved

Newton Abbot and Ashburton

Since April 2024 I have hosted a monthly Clay Cafe for people who are grieving. This is a safe space to come together, talk and express your feelings in clay.

No experience of working with clay is necessary, just a willingness to relax and explore. During the session we
will work with locally dug Ball Clay, a wonderfully therapeutic material which is native to Newton Abbot.

Sessions take place at
The Courtenay Centre, Newton Abbot on the first Saturday of the month and the Quaker House, Ashburton every fourth Saturday (with occasional exceptions, please see below for dates).

At the end of the session you may wish to have your work fired. If so, I can fire your piece and return it to you the following month.

Clay Cafe for the Bereaved is a not for profit community project.
